Mount Shuksan Climb Itinerary

Day before climb: Mandatory gear check at our offices @4:00pm.

Day 1: 7:00am meeting at the trailhead. Final gear check and hike to base camp. Short skills review.

Day 2: Snow skills review. We cover basic snow skills to learn and review proper step kicking, use of ice axe, self-arrest, glacier travel and rope techniques. We concentrate on the skills necessary for the upcoming summit attempt.

Day 3: Summit day. To ensure safety and optimum traveling conditions, we begin with an early morning wake-up to bring us close to the summit by sunrise. After completing the summit, we hike back to base camp, collect our gear and return to the trailhead.
