Team Summits Peak Lenin!

Hi everyone,

The wind finally died down yesterday and we had a beautiful day climbing Lenin Peak, clear skies and light winds but still cold temps! We spent most of the day in our parkas and mittens. The team did great on a long, physically demanding summit push and we had awesome views of the high peaks in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. We slept last night at Camp 3 then headed down to Camp 1 today where we’ve enjoyed thicker air and getting our feet out of the big boots. We’re looking forward to an easy walk down to Basecamp and showers tomorrow!

Snow-covered mountains stretch far into the distance under a clear blue sky, showcasing a stunning, pristine winter landscape.

Team Monitors Winds at the Summit

Whelp, today was quite windy over here on Lenin Peak. We made a brief attempt to climb but were quickly shut down and spent the rest of the day sleeping, reading, eating etc. the wind is dying down now so we’re hopeful we’ll have better luck tomorrow!

Team Prepares at Camp 3!

Hey Everyone!

We’re back up at Camp 3 (20,100’). We got up here around 2 pm and just have been melting snow, resting, eating and drinking. We’re hoping the winds stay light as they are now and we can climb Peak Lenin tomorrow. If the forecast proves correct and the wind ramps up we’ll just take a rest day here and climb the day after. Either way, we’ll keep you posted!

The Team Climbs to Camp 1

Hi everyone,

Stephen here checking in from Lenin Peak. We’re back up at Camp 1. We had a bit of a blustery hike back up here with occasional snow flurries but luckily the worst weather held off until we were all settled in. The plan is to continue up to camp 2 tomorrow early in the morning if the weather improves. On a brighter note, today is the Camp 1 manager’s birthday, so we got to enjoy an elaborate dinner (burgers, pizza, dumplings, cake etc) to celebrate Vlad!

Thanks for following along,

Stephen

Climbers are resting for a few days before their summit rotation

Hi Everyone,

Stephen checking in. We’ve had a relaxing couple of rest days in basecamp; eating good food, taking showers, doing laundry, resting. Tomorrow we’ll start our summit rotation. So after breakfast we’re headed back up to Camp 1, then will continue up the mountain from there over the next few days. Wish us calm weather!

Waterfall we saw on the walk back down to BC from Camp 1 a few days ago.

Quality was to the highest standards starting with guides (amazing), food (amazing), and group gear.
