Joshua Cole guides in the Cascades for Alpine Ascents. He is the Washington Director of Program & Safety for the Northwest Outward Bound School, a lead instructor for Wilderness Medical Training Center. Josh spends his winters as a backcountry ski guide in the North Cascades and is pursuing his AMGA Ski Guide Certification. Josh is a wilderness risk management consultant and has presented on risk management and program design at numerous national conferences. Josh has a former life as a research geologist and still likes to talk about the fascinating geology of the Pacific Northwest.
