We have stayed a night with the Mountain Cazadores (mountain troopers) and have sent our duffels ahead on the backs of a herd of long eared Mulas! 
We walk with light daypacks up the Valle de Vacas to our next camp tonight Pampa de Lenas. The weather is cloudy today with a chance of rain and what a relief this is for us from the high desert sun and heat.
