Vacas Valley Team 4 Arrives in Basecamp!

Greetings from Plaza Argentina!

The team finished the trek into basecamp today. We covered 6.5 miles today from Casa de Piedra to our basecamp (Plaza Argentina) at 13,800 feet. The day started with a short mile ride across the Vacas river. The trek followed the Relinchos valley with stellar views of the stone sentinel. We arrived mid afternoon and rested for a few hours until dinner. We’ll take a rest day tomorrow to acclimatize and organize our loads for the upper mountain. The entire team is enjoying the comforts of basecamp and looking forward to a much-deserved day of recovery tomorrow.
Until Tomorrow!
