Vacas Valley Team 4 Ready to Launch

Hi Friends and Family,

Aconcagua team 4 made it to Penitentes smoothly. We left Mendoza late morning to start the drive to Penitentes, a small enclave at the base of Aconcagua. We checked in to the Hotel Ayelen, made final adjustments to our gear, weighed all of our food and climbing equipment with the muleteers and had time to relax around the hotel before dinner. Now we’re just wrapping up breakfast and will be hitting the trail to Pampa de Lenas in about 2 hours. Everyone feels good to have the travel and logistics behind them and is looking forward to starting the climb!
