On Wednesday, we had our first summit of the Emmons route this season! The 8-Day Course climbed from Camp Schurman to the crater rim and back in about 7 hours. The team reported good climbing conditions and a somewhat time-consuming southward traverse to cross the high crack at the Emmons shoulder. Meanwhile, our first Alpine Rock Program of the season launched this morning. Due to the slightly stormy forecast, they are pivoting and heading into warmer / drier Mazama for the first part of the course.
