Our expedition team climbed up fixed lines on the Branscomb Ridge then settled into High Camp under sunny skies

Hello, this is Garrett Madison calling in for the Alpine Ascents Mount Vinson expedition. Today is Wednesday, January 2nd and today we moved from our Low Camp to our High Camp. We climbed up fixed lines on the Branscomb Ridge and currently we are in High Camp, with sunny skies, little wind.

And we just had a great dinner. We’re getting ready to go to bed. Our plan is to take a rest day tomorrow and possibly go for the summit the next day. So, everybody’s doing great. We’re all up here together and we’re excited to finally be at High Camp and be in position for our summit attempt.

We’ll check in soon.
