Beautiful weather with clear views for a relaxing rest day at High Camp

Hello, this is Garrett Madison calling in for the Alpine Ascents Mount Vinson climb. Today is Thursday, January 3rd and today we took a rest day at our High Camp and just enjoyed the nice weather, sunny skies, clear views. And had four good meals today: breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack, and dinner.

And tomorrow our plan is to climb to the top of Mount Vinson. We’re planning to leave around 9am so we’re heading to bed early tonight, around 10:30pm. We’re going to wake up around 7 and hopefully we’ll be on the top sometime tomorrow afternoon. Looks like the weather’s good, calm winds, clear skies, so it’s all looking great for us.
