Our second expedition team summits Mount Vinson with spectacular weather and views as far as the eye can see!

Hello, this is Garrett Madison calling in for the Alpine Ascents Mount Vinson expedition. Today is Friday, January 18th, it’s 4:30pm Antarctica time and we’re all on the summit of Mount Vinson!

It’s a beautiful day, hardly any wind up here, it’s warm, sunny, no clouds, views as far as the eye can see. So we’re really excited to be up here, it’s just a spectacular day. Everybody’s doing great and we’re just really happy to have this awesome weather and be fortunate to all be up here together.

So we’re going to head down soon, back to High Camp and then the next day head down towards Vinson Base Camp.
Everyone’s great! Check in soon.
