After a lazy day waiting for winds to decrease at High Camp Team Pancake moves down to Base Camp to await flights

Hello friends, family, and loved ones this is the Pancakes reporting from Base Camp on Mount Vinson.

We had a big day today. We woke up at High Camp and it was a bit windy, so we kind of had a lazy morning hoping that the winds would die down. (“Lazy afternoon too” commented in background.) But they did not, so in the afternoon at about 3 we left High Camp, descended the fixed lines, and picked up some cache at Low Camp, and then made our way to Base Camp which is where we’re at now.

So everyone is doing well. We had a good day today with pretty good weather. It got cloudy as we got closer to Base Camp and now we’re just waiting for flights to take us back to Union Glacier.

Stay tuned. Ciao for now.
