Beautiful sunny weather for our Mexico Volcanoes team as they head from Peidra Grande Hut to high camp on El Pico de Orizaba

Alpine Ascents Mexico Volcanoes team is up at the Piedra Grande Hut (14,000 feet) on El Pico de Orizaba. We had a pretty good night’s sleep, with a little commotion in the middle night from some other teams getting up to climb the mountain, but we feel pretty well rested.

We’ve got beautiful, clear skies, nice, warm, sunny weather and the mountain looks like it’s in great condition. We’re all packed up and ready to head up to our high camp, where we’ll spend the night and get ready for our summit bid tomorrow. Stay posted and we’ll let you know how the summit attempt goes, early in the morning mañana.
