Team #3 heads to bed at Machame Camp happy and full after a nice cool first day on the mountain

Hey all ya’ll, friends, family, loved ones, Team #3 here on Kilimanjaro. We have just finished dinner at Camp 1/Machame Camp (10,000 feet above sea level). We have food coma but we’re happy (cheering in background).

We’re doing great. We had a nice day today, actually had a little bit of rain on the last stretch coming into camp, very light rain nevertheless, nice cool day, not too hot. Everyone’s doing awesome and some of us are tired critters. We’re going to go to bed soon and sleep well. Everyone sends their best home.

We’re working on a Team name. We actually have too many ideas on the table right now. We will commit to something by tomorrow night. We’ll give you a shout from Shira Camp at 12,500 feet tomorrow.

Usiku mwema (“good night” in Swahili).
