Team 1 Flies to Base Camp on a Bluebird Day After Enjoying An Awesome Day of Preparation in Talkeetna.

Hey everyone, this is Eric Murphy and Micah Lewkowitz for the first Denali trip of the 2013 season.  We are Alp #1, hopefully we’ll come up with a team name here in the next couple of days.  It is the 8th of May and we are all here in Base Camp at 7,200 feet on the SE Fork of the Kahiltna Glacier.  We had an awesome day today, and got together for breakfast over at the Fireweed Lodge and then everyone drove over to the Alpine facility, got through our gear checks and pre-trip organization, headed into Talkeetna for some lunch and our National Park Service briefing, and finally we were able to fly with T.A.T. (Talkeetna Air Taxi) on what we would call a very bluebird day… (Transmission ends)
