Alp 2 descended to pick up their cache then returned to relax at 11,000 feet in slightly cooler weather

Hi, this is Matthew Nightengale, calling on behalf of Alpine Ascents Team 2 on Denali.

We are at 11,000 foot camp and today we did a back carry, where we descended to our cache (at about 10,000 feet), built up our cache, picked up our food and equipment and hiked back up to camp here. Spent the afternoon just relaxing, and hanging out.

The weather today was a little less desirable than yesterday, but still reasonable, a little windy and a little bit cooler, but not bad overall. Tomorrow, weather permitting, our plan is to carry up to just around Windy Corner hopefully, and cache equipment and gear up there and then come back down to 11,000 feet and spend another night here.

Everyone’s doing well and we will check in again tomorrow.
