In the white room, with snow curtains… Out and About is digging on another weather day at Camp 3

In the white room, with snow curtains, on Denali…we’ve been digging, and digging, and digging on Denali. (sung to “White Room” tune by Cream)

Out and About is in it, two to four feet today and more coming. We’re digging, and digging, and digging, but we’re doing well, we’re having fun, we’re laughing, eating, drinking, and smiling and we’re in the mountains.

It is the 17th of May at 9pm, Friday. Two weather days so far with this system that has also given Talkeetna reportedly winter conditions, not surprising we have it up here. There is ample champagne powder. Where are my skis?!

We’re hoping for a break in the weather tomorrow. But in the meantime we’re hanging out with Alp 2 and everybody else here in Camp 3, and all is well.

Tomorrow somebody in this team turns 42… woohoo! We’ll call you tomorrow, cheers.
