Alp 2 spends the day dividing tasks, with some of the Team caching up above the fixed lines while others rest or descend

Hello friends, family, and loved ones, this is Paul Koubek cybercasting for Alp 2, Denali expedition.

Today we were sorry to see Peter Cardwell leave the group. He has chosen to go down the mountain to be with his family, pursuant to Klaus’ fatality. Kirah escorted him down to the airstrip; she will return with more fuel for the group tomorrow.

Guide Matt rested in the tent, recovering from an eye infection. And I took Chris, Matt, Ed, and Kennard up the fixed lines to plant cache on the ridge (at 16,500 feet) while Brad and Robert rested in camp.

Brad, Robert, and I will make a run up the fixed lines tomorrow and, weather permitting, the whole group will move up to 17,200 feet/High Camp the day after that.

Thanks for following our cybercast, stay tuned.
