Maintaining their status as the best wind wall builders at 17,200 feet, Team 9/The Denali Ballers waits for a calm day to push for the summit

Happy Summer Solstice everybody! This is Paul Koubek cybercasting for Alp 9/Denali Ballers.

Today was a rest day for our team, slept in, ate a good breakfast, spent a little more time horizontal, and eating and drinking. And then got up again, reinforced our position. We now definitely have the best wind walls in town, up here at 17,200 feet.

We are watching the weather, forecast makes it sound like it may still be a little windy for us to go for it tomorrow and that Sunday maybe a better day, but we’ll still be getting up in the morning to look and see.

So stay tuned and this is Paul Koubek signing off for Alp 9/The Denali Ballers.
