Team The Finishers backcarries and returns to 14 Camp for some skills review and prep for the Fixed Lines

Hey everybody, this is Micah with Alp 10/Team The Finishers.

Today we went and did a backcarry up to just below Windy Corner. We tended a little bit into a storm. We were able to get in a little bit of relaxing time and some good acclimatization. Everybody was able to breathe some thicker air and then come on back up to Camp 3 at 14,200 feet.

Today we did some more snow school in preparation for the Fixed Lines, which we’re hoping we can move up tomorrow for some good acclimatization and a cache as well.

Hope everybody back home is doing well. The weather out here is (transmission garbled). And we’re thinking of everybody back home. Bye.

Gear Review: The North Face Phantom 50 pack

By Mike Hawkins “Man, this is a really great pack…” I said it over and over for months until my wife had finally had enough of it. She had to get one for herself.  While 50 liters is a little small for most multi-day mountaineering and winter ski tours, the small size is plenty versatile […]
