Aconcagua: Cupcake Pony Takes a Rest Day

Our team enjoyed our last rest day in Plaza de Mulas. We finished prepping our gear for the upper mountain, ate a couple more delicious base camp three course meals, and took last hot showers.

Tomorrow we begin the upper mountain portion of our trip. We will leave base camp comforts and push up to higher altitudes and colder temperatures as we progress through three high mountain camps to position ourselves for a summit attempt several days from now. But Team Cupcake Pony is strong and ready!
