Island Peak Climbers: Arrived at Namche

Namaste friends, family and loved ones,

Khumbu Klimbers krused down the valley today. The thick air and relaxed treking schedule are quite the tonic for our weary bodies. Leaving the Monastery of Tangboche behind us, we proceeded on to Namche Bazaar, the market town of the Khumbu.

The flowers are just now starting to bloom which added much color to our descent.

We even saw the elusive Himalayan Musk Deer. They do not have antlers like most deer but sport two rather long tusk.

Once we arrived in Namche, showers and shopping ruled the day.
We are well and in great Spirits!

All my best,
Vern Tejas
