Everest Base Camp Trek goes to Pheriche

Namaste friends, family and loved ones,

We awoke in a winter wonderland. A few inches of snow fell overnight turning normally great scenery into spectacular.

It was delightful to walk through the Sacred Rhododendron forest all festooned with fresh frosting.

Yes that’s Everest in the background. We made our traditional visit to Llama Geshi and received his pray for our safe return.

And we topped off our day by celebrating Tracy’s birthday.

The team is doing well and looking forward to having an acclimatizat-ion day tomorrow.

All our best,
Carole and Vern Tejas

And some more pictures from yesterday!
