EBC Trek 2019 – Khumbu Trekkers Finish Strong

Namaste Everyone,

We are interrupting a lively game of cards and a celebratory beer to let you all know that we finished our trek today strong and in style.

We had another day of stellar weather and really enjoyed the amble from Phakding back to Lukla. We took our time, stopping along the way for tea and a close-up view of the 21,700 foot summit of Thamserku. The going was easy….except for Adam’s minor boot issue (picture below)! Once in Lukla, we moved smoothly from lunch to coffees and dessert at the Illy Cafe; to dinner and that celebratory beer. We’ve been doing very well on the culinary front.

Fingers crossed for good weather tomorrow and an early helicopter flight to Kathmandu.
