Kilimanjaro Team Kicks off their Trip

Hello everyone,

Yesterday we welcomed the beginning of our next 7-day Machame group with an orientation, gear check, city walking tour and a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. The team is ready to go. We had a couple late bag arrivals but looks like we will be able to pick up the last one on the way to the gate this morning to begin our climb (just in time!).

We are finishing up breakfast and a few last minute items before loading up in the Land Cruiser and heading for the mountain. It’s a beautiful morning today and looking forward to start hiking today. We will end up at Machame camp at 10,000ft with a total gain of just of 4,000ft from where we begin. I will update each day on our progress.

Thanks for following along!

Ben
