Island Peak 2019 – Going For It!

Namaste friends, family and loved ones!

What a glorious morning we are having. This bodes well for tomorrow’s attempt to climb to the summit of Imja tse or Island peak. Below is pictured sunrise over Imja Tse with winds off of Lhotse!

All members are rested and excited for our Alpine start at 3:00 am on the 11th. And it looks like the weather may cooperate. So we’ll kiss civilization goodbye and begin our adventure!
