Mount Vinson Expedition posts coming soon… stay tuned!

At a time when some people are paying attention to the North Pole, Alpine Ascents is busy looking south with preparations for our Expedition to Antarctica.

Mount Vinson, located 600 miles from the South Pole and 1,200 miles from the northern tip of the Antarctic Peninsula, is the highest peak on the continent. Vinson is part of the Ellsworth Mountains, which rise majestically from the Ronne Ice Shelf.

Follow this southern adventure with our first Team of the season scheduled for December 26, 2013 – January 15, 2014.
