Aconcagua Team #2 Has Arrived!

Hello Friends and Family-

This is lead guide Evan Miller reporting from Mendoza. We have kicked off Alpine Ascents’ Nov. 30 Aconcagua Normal Route Expedition with a guide and client meet and greet, gear check, and an excellent dinner full of carne and Malbec at La Barra in the heart of Mendoza. Everyone arrived a little jet lagged, and 5 of 6 climbers received all their luggage, not a bad percentage but not the one we were hoping for either! Let the tolerance for adversity begin. The group is eager to hit the road tomorrow; we will travel to Penitentes and spend the night at the historic Ayelen Hotel. Thanks for tuning in and stay tuned for more updates as we approach basecamp. We have a strong group of gentlemen and are very much looking forward to this expedition! Cheers
