Peraponken Peak Patrol enjoys a final training day at 14 Camp

Namaste again from 14K camp,

Just checking in, we enjoyed another rest and recovery day here at camp 3, also called 14K camp.

It was beautiful day, we went to check out the Edge of the World view point, looking down on the lower glacier is just breathe taking and just wow. We ended the day by enjoying Steak with mashed potatoes.

We are moving up to high camp at 17200ft or 5000m tomorrow, weather is looking good for the move, take a rest day and hopefully climb the next day. We will report how it goes tomorrow from our highest camp on the West Buttress route on Denali

Thank you all for following us along.

Guides,
Mingma T. & Jangbu

  • Denali ’24 in a Nutshell

Submission by Jess, Alaska Operations. When I touched down in Talkeetna this year, greeted by sunny skies and perfect weather, I couldn’t help but feel hopeful for a smoother forecast for Denali climbing season compared to the previous year’s relentlessly poor weather.
