Everest Basecamp Trek 2019 – Team Buff to Thame Village

Namaste friends, family and loved ones,

Photo 1: We were spinning prayer wheels at 8:30 am.

Photo 2: On our way to the remote outpost of Thame.

Photo 3: We made our way up to the monastery at 13,000 feer and got blessed by the 9 year old Rimporche (Abbot).

Photo 4: He gave us Kata scarves and prayer strings. And even more amazing, he put “long life” pills in our hands which we immediately downed.

Photo 5: The grand entrance to the Gompa was a fantastic backdrop for our photograph.

Team is doing well so tomorrow we will tour the famous Hillary School in Kumjung.

All our best, Carole and Vern Tejas
