Vacas Valley Team 6 now Team Lost and Found!

Hola friends and family!

Today was a great day with much success! After some much deserved rest our team started the day by packing up all of our gear, food and equipment into a private bus. We then got our permits to climb Aconcagua. We still had a few climbers waiting for delayed luggage so some of the group went for lunch in Mendoza, while the rest went back to the airport to see if the bags had arrived. An hour later, we had 4 very happy climbers, whose gear had all arrived! This was a lesson in patience and folks handled it gracefully. Many thanks to Brendan, for helping us through it! With everything in tow we set off for Penitentes, a small town 4 hours from Mendoza near the start of our trek.

We sorted gear, and set up our loads for the mules and retreated for the evening for a lovely dinner in the Hotel Ayelen, a lodge style hotel full of climbers from around the world. Tomorrow we will start our 3 day trek to Plaza Argentina, our base camp on Acongcagua. Everyone is psyched to have their luggage and to have the whole group together, team Lost and Found ?

Stay tuned!
