The Naughty Yaks Reach Pheriche

Friends, family & loved ones,

Greetings from Pheriche, where the Naughty Yaks are all doing very well. We had another busy day today. A friend of ours who is a monk at the Tengboche monastery, Tashi Lama, joined us for breakfast and we took advantage of the opportunity to ask him all of our questions about his life as a monk.

Tashi giving a blessing to Louis.

We then trekked to Pangboche and went to Lama Geshe’s house. He has been blessing climbers for decades (he’s 85 now) and spent a lot of time talking and laughing with us.

En route to Pangboche.

After a pit stop for lunch, including some carrot cake for dessert (thank you Ann!), we rolled into Pheriche in time for tea and a nap before dinner. All in all, it was a great day.

And last but not least, we want to wish Abigail a very Happy 24th Birthday!
