Kilimanjaro Team Roaring 20’s wraps up trip

Hi Everyone,

The team returned to Arusha yesterday enjoying showers, beds and the comforts of town life. Some other family members joined as well! We all enjoyed a celebration dinner together last night.
This morning everyone departed for safari on the Northern Circuit of Tarangire National Park, Ngoro Ngoro Conservation Area, and Serengeti National Park.
We had a great trip together during our 7 days on Kilimanjaro! Challenging summit night conditions prevented much of the team from reaching the summit. Winds were gusting pretty high, 70 Mph at times. Good decision making was the order of the evening!
We were reminded and awed of the power of Mother Nature.
Just a few of us were comfortable continuing to the summit under the conditions. As Tyler mentioned previously,
It is not just the summit that is important, but the whole journey.
We were fortunate to have a great team including some returning families who have been here with me before over the years.
We have a break this week and I am headed home to Bellingham, Wa to be with the family!

Ben Jones will keep the season alive into February!

My Thanks

Eric Murphy
