The 2017-18 Winter Season in Ecuador Starts!

Hello family and friends

We want to welcome Tim and Peter to the Andes of Ecuador. We are happy that Gordon (Alpine Ascents Director of Programs) has joined us for the first part of the trip. Yesterday we visited the beautiful Colonial District of Quito in the company of our very knowledgeable tour guide Maria Esther. Today we hiked to the crater rim of Ruco Pichincha, reaching an altitude of 15,260 feet, which was a new altitude record for Tim. Congrats Tim!

We are currently in the most beautiful hot springs resort in Ecuador, Termas Papallacta, which is located in the cloud forest. Everybody is doing well and in good spirits. On this trip we will attempt to climb three big volcanoes: Cayambe, Antisana and Chimborazo.
We are sending our best to family and friends. Please stay tuned. More soon!
