Nino began building his passion for climbing in his late teens. It quickly became an obsession that has taken him around the world to explore and continue developing that passion. After graduating from the Art Center College of Design in California, he began working to merge his love for photography and the mountains into a single career.

Completing the guides program and earning IFMGA certification (AMGA / ACMG) allowed him to pursue that dream. His winter guiding currently consists of working full-time with CMH Heli-Ski / Adamants in Canada, along with ski touring lodge trips in the spring. He also teaches avalanche programs locally, and his CAA Level 2 certification remains the gold standard in avalanche education.

Alpine and rock guiding in the United States, the European Alps, South America, and Nepal has led to a life of exploration. Living in Canada for the past 12 years has sharpened his skills in the wild mountains of British Columbia, which, in his opinion, offer the perfect training ground for bigger mountain ranges. Leading trips on Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, the Eiger, and many other 4,000-meter peaks remains the highlight of his guiding year, thanks to the pace and accessibility the Alps offer.

Nino has a solid foundation in climbing training and a deep understanding of the mind-body connection required to accomplish one’s goals in the mountains. Today, his passion lies in guiding, teaching, and sharing his knowledge with individuals on a personal level to support their development.
