Carrie Parker
Guide: Mount Rainier, Mountaineering School

Carrie grew up in the flatlands of the Midwest and developed her love of climbing during college at the University of Oregon. Originally heading west to play lacrosse, Carrie quit the sport after visiting the local climbing gym where she developed an immediate addiction. In the fall, Carrie heads back east to hone her skills on some of the best sport climbing the United States has to offer, the Red River Gorge, of Slade, Kentucky. A wilderness EMT instructor for Remote Medical International, Carrie has a passion for patient care, and can be found teaching numerous first aid, wilderness first responder, and wilderness EMT courses. She has a B.A. in Natural Hazard Mitigation and Accident Response from the University of Oregon, and hopes someday to move back to Las Vegas, NV where she used to work as a Paramedic. This is her 4th year guiding professionally on Mount Rainier and in Alaska.
