Pick Up - Drop Off - Deposits - Cancellation

Our Hours (November 15th – April 1st)

  • Monday – 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • Tuesday – 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Wednesday – 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Thursday – 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Friday – 9:00am – 6:00pm
  • Saturday – CLOSED
  • Sunday – CLOSED

Picking Up & Returning Your Gear

  • Rentals may be picked up or dropped off 1 day prior to OR after the end of your rental period.
  • For example, if you plan to rent equipment for 1-3 days, you may pick up on Friday & drop off on Monday- we allow one “free” rental day for your convenience!
  • We are not open on weekends; please plan your rental period accordingly to avoid unexpected late fees.

Equipment Deposit Details

  • For most items, a $50 deposit will be required. For certain items, a $100 deposit will be required.
  • Deposits are fully refundable on the return of equipment in clean, dry, and good condition. We recommend agreeing any existing damages on your rental form with Alpine Ascents staff on pickup.
  • Please note that deposits are taken in full, not ‘held’ as pre-authorizations.

Reservations & Cancellations

  • Full rental fee payment will be taken at the time of your reservation. Deposits will be taken upon equipment pickup.
  • Reservations may be cancelled 3 days prior to the start of your rental period with no cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations made less than 3 days before the start of your reservation will result in the forfeiture of your rental fee.

Liability - Acceptance of Risk - Terms of Use

All rentals are subject to your full agreement to the terms, conditions, policies, and procedures laid out below. Please note that you will be required to sign a liability release upon your pickup of equipment. Alpine Ascents reserves the right to refuse rental equipment at any time and for any reason. Climbing, mountaineering, skiing, snowshoeing, and backpacking involve certain risks & dangers- please seek qualified instruction for the use of any equipment you choose to rent, or arrive with the knowledge to competently utilize the gear you choose to rent. We are always happy to recommend guides, instructors, and courses of study to undertake prior to utilizing our equipment!


I accept complete responsibility for the equipment I have rented.

I accept full financial responsibility for the equipment I have rented, specifically, I agree to pay full retail replacement costs for any equipment which is damaged or lost; at Alpine Ascents’ discretion, I may be required to pay for repairs instead of replacements and I agree to pay any and all late fees incurred if I do not return my equipment at the agreed upon time.

I accept full responsibility for the use of the equipment rented; I agree that I am responsible for the proper use of the equipment rented to me. I will not misuse the equipment rented to me. I agree to return the equipment clean & dry, and in the same condition in which it was rented to me as agreed at the time of my rental pickup. I also acknowledge that Alpine Ascents provides no guarantees or warranties for the equipment I have rented.

I certify that I am familiar with the dangers, hazards and risks associated with the use of the equipment I have rented for trekking, mountaineering, skiing, snowshoeing, backapcking and all and any other activities that I may use the equipment for. I accept and clearly understand that these hazards and risks may result in personal injuries to myself and others, including paralysis and death, and hereby expressly assume all of the above risks including, the risks of acts or omissions of  Alpine Ascents International LLC, and do hereby expressly agree to hold Alpine Ascents International LLC harmless and defend them against any and all liability.

In consideration of the services furnished me, I hereby release Alpine Ascents International LLC from any and all damages, injuries, losses, or any cause of action which may result in me, my legal representatives or others purporting to exercise statutory or other rights arising out of, or in connection with the equipment I have rented. And I hereby assume each and every damage incident to the equipment I have rented, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alpine Ascents International LLC against any sums which they may be subject to pay in consequence of any claim or demand by or through me, or resulting from my equipment rental.

I have read this agreement in full and understand all of its contents. I am legally competent to agree to these terms & conditions and do so of my own free will. I agree that my agreement to these terms & conditions constitutes a binding contract and release of liability.

 

When I compare this against most other teams I knew, this is amazing and reflects the attitude with which your guides lead. Thanks again for a once in a lifetime trip and look forward to the next adventure together (not sure what that is yet).
