By age of 25 Dmitry became an accomplished alpinist with gold medals in USSR/Russia national climbing championships to his credit. Dmitry completed USSR "Instructor of Alpinism" school and IMGA/UIAA guide training program. Search of adventure and work led Dmitry to USA where he worked as Outward Bound School instructor, professional ski patroller, mountain guide for last 12 years. Today with an anchor in Anchorage, AK Dmitry splits his professional time between working in health care industry and sharing his passion for mountaineering with the world. His major addictions include XC skiing, ski touring, biking, fishing, baking bread and brewing beer, making felted slippers, playing guitar and dancing, traveling and climbing around the world.
