Thrilled to announce that Everest team members Karma Serki Sherpa and Gautam Shine summitted Lhotse at 5:20 am May 19 after their summit of Everest ( with a rest at the South Col camp between summits).

Alpine Ascents Everest team returned from the Summit to South Col camp at about 2pm yesterday. Team will be making there way back to Base Camp over the next few days.

Congrats to the Alpine Ascents Everest team who reached the summit of Mt. Everest today  at 11am Nepal time. Will post photos and updates when the team returns to base camp and passing on good wishes as they make their way back to high camp.

Our team has reached the balcony at 27, 600 feet. Team usually rests a bit here, taking on the full view of the Himalayas. Winds are light right now and indications are very few climbers on the route.

Our climbing team left the South Col ( High Camp) early this morning and is in route to summit. Will update as the team checks in.

Our team plans to leave at around midnight ( Nepal time)  for summit bid. We have had some difficulty with communication back to US but will be checking with base camp to update as we can

Everest Team has reached the South Col, the last camp before the summit. Team reached camp at 3pm, and will rest there tonight. Plans are to attempt summit tomorrow night.
