Mount Rainier | Taquoma — 4 Day Kautz Climb Testimonials

The guides did everything they could to put us in the best position for success. One guide even had to hike up 8,000 feet in a day to catch back up to the group after taking down an ailing climber the first morning. As far as I’m concerned they both went above and beyond to provide us with the best experience possible. I’ve climbed with several other major guide services, and Stephen and Zack were amongst the top guides I’ve had the pleasure of working with.

I enjoyed the expedition very much. The route (Kautz) was positively breathtaking and doing a somewhat less traveled route on the mountain gave that more “removed” feeling to trip that is part of why I love going into the outdoors. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and I felt like I was in good hands the entire time.

2019 Climber

As with my past climbs with Alpine Ascents, I always learn new techniques and knowledge from the guides that I hope to remember and apply to future climbs. The guides were constantly giving us new tips and tricks to improve our climbing, and I learned much about route-finding and how to read and assess mountain conditions.

I will use Alpine Ascents again in the future! Great trip, Great guides, great experience!

The expedition was amazing. The guides were great and encouraging along the way and helpfully. We always knew what to expect as a group and the next objective ahead. The guides were provided helpful tips along the way.

I LOVED MY EXPEDITION. THE KAUTZ ROUTE GAVE ME A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING; HIGH ALTITUDE GLACIER MOUNTAINEERING, ICE CLIMBING, AND EXPEDITION CAMPING. ALL FOUR GUIDES HAD GREAT LEADERSHIP SKILLS.

2018 Climber

Challenging climb that benefited from top notch guide staff and great food.  Felt the gear list was reasonable and appropriate.  Guides were excellent at communication and making sure everyone was safe and was having a good time.

I was very impressed with the quality of the guides. I thought they spent the appropriate amount of time balancing teaching skills versus focusing on the climb.

All of our guides did a tremendous job. Our lead guides leadership skills were incredible. He is truly an asset to your company. I look forward to more expeditions with him.
