Our lead guide was quite literally the best guide on earth to lead the Emmons route. He has an incredible wealth of climbing knowledge on Rainier and beyond. I was in awe of his leadership and communication skills (and his climbing stories). The guides as a group were top notch and I learned a ton under their leadership. They all went above and beyond to not only teach us skills that would keep us safe and increase our chances of summiting on this trip, but teach us skills that would benefit us on our future climbing endeavors.
Mount Rainier 4 Day Emmons Climb Testimonials
I had an unbelievable time. I understand Covid made some parts of the trip had to be different but the guides did a great job ensuring the clients still had a great time. I always felt safe and the guides instilled confidence in everyone. They were amazing. I would have climbed any route on the mountain with them. AAI ensuring they hire and retain guides like these is exactly why I stick with you for all climbs.
The climb exceeded my expectations. World class organization and guides. Safety, planning, skills, experience, all top notch. The guides were outstanding and very professional. I felt safe and in the best of hands the entire trip. My favorite climb of Rainier to date.
The services provided by AAI easily met my expectations and resulted in strong outcomes. The program was well organized and all staff (admin, guides, etc.) was competent, informed and patient. The climb itself was great.
It was an EPIC experience. And humbling. The experience with Alpine Ascents was first class in every respect.
The expedition was of very high quality. I was given the information and advice I needed to have a safe and successful summit.
This was by far the best experience I have had during any climb. I just love the culture that has been created at AAI. I am always treated respectfully and with true interest. I just loved the experience. It is one of the high points of my life….still makes me cry from sheer joy.
It was a great experience and couldn’t imagine a better led expedition. Each of the four guides filled their roles expertly.
Very much, on every dimension. Particularly impressed with the detail orientation and organization that flowed through the prep and the climb, the quality of the guides, and the level of personalization.
I have now participated in 4 AAI climbs in Washington. I think the program is great overall. The guides I have had have been both professional and personable resulting in a sense of confidence and safety regarding the climb as well as fun. I have heard a few anecdotal stories from fellow climbers about other companies and those experiences were lesser than any of my AAI experiences.
