Eiger Testimonials

It was a great expedition. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t allow us to try the Eiger. But The pre-Eiger climbs were excellent. They (Our Guides) did a great job in finding ways to have fun even without the Eiger. They were really patient and helpful.

2017 Climber

Climb exceeded expectations as always. Jonathon is really amazing. And Eric is as well. I couldn’t have had a better trip.

We initially choose to go with Alpine Ascents several years ago because of your professionalism, immediate replies to emails/phone calls and confidence in your guides.  We continue to book every year because of the treatment we get from you, Jonathon and the guides he brings with him.  We will book a trip for next year soon we just need to decide which one

The trip was great!  No surprise there.  Like every other time we have been on a trip with Jonathon he managed it perfectly.  Something always seems to come up with the weather or the lodging and he always takes care of it.  He keeps us informed about what is going on in the coming days but he quietly works his tail off to make things happen.  When we go back to a hut or hotel to rest from a long day he seems to be making a plan b, c and d in case the original plan has to change.  He never says a word about it, he just works behind the scenes, tells us what we need to know and is 100% professional.  We are not the best / most experienced climbers but Jonathon and Eric were extremely patient, positive and encouraging the entire trip.

Our climb, lodging and food, in-country training, Beni and other Swiss guides, Zermatt and Switzerland exceeded expectations.

We wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our trip. The reason we returned to the Alps with AAI was because we think so highly of Jonathon Spitzer, Lee Lazzara and the rest of the team. We know Jonathon works hard behind the scenes to ensure that the trips are executed flawlessly. We want to make sure he knows that his attention to detail doesn’t go unnoticed. Even when things didn’t go as planned last year because of weather, Jonathon showed grace under fire. Jonathon and Lee lived up to their reputations again this year. As always, they were safe, professional, knowledgeable and patient. Because of these qualities, we will continue to book trips through AAI with this team of guides. We plan on signing up for another trip as soon as your 2016 schedule opens. Jonathan and Lee are wonderful assets to your organization.

This is a note to let you know what my experience was in Zermatt and with Johnathon and Hans. I would like to say that I have done climbing numerous peaks over the last 25 years. I have used guides a number of times and have never experienced the quality of the guides Johnathon, Hans, and Cece. They are all personable, and make the experience a lot of fun. They are all also a wealth of knowledge and are willing to evaluate and teach you to improve your weaknesses.

This expedition was my second trip with Alpine Ascents, and it more than lived up to my expectations. The guides were excellent, the climbing was fantastic. This was an excellent trip that only served to further Alpine Ascents standards.
