Mount Kilimanjaro Testimonials

Every aspect of the program was a strength, with the greatest strength being our guide. Additionally, the Tanzanian crew was incredibly kind, helpful, and seemed genuinely dedicated to our success. Having the portable bathroom at our lunch stops and overnight made the trip that much more enjoyable and felt luxurious. I can’t think of any weaknesses to the program. I would not only highly recommend Alpine Ascents to others who want to hike Mt. Kilimanjaro, but my wife and I are very much considering additional trips with your team in the future.

My partner and I were incredibly satisfied with every aspect of the expedition. From the guide, to the Tanzanian crew, to the accommodations and meals, the entire expedition was incredibly enjoyable and exceeded our expectations. On a scale of 1-10, everything was a 10! I would go anywhere in the world with you.

2020 Climber

It was without a doubt the most enjoyable expedition I have been a part of. From the beginning to end, the level of competency, attention to detail, knowledge base, and guideship was top notch. Not only was the western guide a pillar of knowledge, the Tanzanian crew were clearly a cut above the other outfits crews.

Our Kilimanjaro climb exceeded expectations on every dimension: our phenomenal guides, our Tanzanian crew, the wisdom/patience/expertise to manage our large group, the food, tenting, gear list and preparations advice. Our guides ensured we had a safe, exciting, healthy and collaborative experience on the mountain and were conducive to unexpectedly wonderful connections among the group and the team.

Our guides were really great. They knew the route inside and out. They gave us a full run down on everything from what to expect from potential altitude sickness to how to lace your boots properly. We felt like we were in good hands the whole time.

I thoroughly enjoyed my Kilimanjaro experience beginning with the correspondences containing the proper gear lists and the physical training recommendations and reminders. I believe this was the start of setting us up for success. Having an incredible guide leading us and the support staff taking care of all our needs made for an enjoyable experience and left us with memories to last a lifetime.

Everything was beyond our expectations. Having done Rainier with AAI before, I had a high level of expectation for another great trip. Hands down the guides and all involved went above and beyond to make both the hike and safari the best possible experience.

I am highly impressed with Alpine’s website and the extensive amount of course materials and correspondence that was supplied to us. It all includes very thorough information that answers the majority of questions and concerns we may have had. The office staff, specifically the Gear Department, was wonderful to work with and also had tremendous patience with questions and concerns that I had.

Our guides were incredibly personable and easy to get along with. They always had a smile on their faces and kind words to share with us. It was so uplifting to come into camp at the end of the day to see them singing and dancing and cheering us on. It was excellent for our moral and kept us going during difficult times.

I immensely enjoyed my expedition to Kilimanjaro. The trip was thoroughly organized and the logistics were top notch. I always felt like everything was planned out to the last detail and it made me felt confident as the trip progressed. The quality of the staff was incredible and everyone went out of their way to make sure that all of the climber’s were comfortable and well taken care of.
