Carstensz Team 1 – In Timika

Hello Everyone,

The last couple of days we have been waiting for good weather to fly to Carstensz basecamp.  We have been exploring a few different options for meals, and some of the group even played a little golf yesterday but mostly have been hanging out at our comfortable hotel in Timika.  Several of us are waiting now at the airport this morning for clearing weather and basecamp while the rest of the team is on standby at the hotel just a few minutes away.  Fingers crossed we get a flight or two in today!  If not, we will try again tomorrow.  The team is doing well and being super patient with the circumstances.  Experience like this is a must for climbing the 7 summits.  I’ll update with more news soon.  Thanks for following along,
