Clouds turn us around- V5
Hello everyone, we had an interesting day today. Vinson base camp weather was in and out through out the day, we learned snow anchors and went through crevasse rescue scenarios.
When it finally looked good to fly to base camp we were asked to break down our camp and load the plane, everyone got excited and it took off. The flight was one of my favorite with scenic view of Mt Vinson and Mt Shinn however the clouds rolled in at base camp and we could not land even though the pilot tried few times then we came back to Union Glacier.
We have been asked to get ready early tomorrow morning so hopefully we will fly to base camp tomorrow.
