Ecuador Team Acclimatizes with Hikes and Hotsprings

Posted on January 7, 2026 | Cybercasts

Hey folks,

The acclimatization continues down in Ecuador. We had a pretty mellow day down here today, our hike took a little over 4 hours. We started in the cloud forest at about 11,500 feet, swung by a waterfall pouring out of a narrow slot canyon, then continued up to some subalpine lakes surrounded by rolling, grassy hills. We made it back down to the hotel by mid-afternoon which left everyone plenty of time to soak in the hot springs or book a message. Tomorrow we’re headed to a lodge near the base of Cayambe with a short hike and some sightseeing along the way!
