Everest Base Camp Private Speed Ascent Team flys into Namche

Hi all,

This is Jonathon with the Everest Base Camp & Island Peak speed ascent group.   Yesterday the team all arrived in Kathmandu with all our luggage!!   Today we took an early morning helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Namche (11,500ft). We had an amazing helicopter ride and got amazing views of the Himalayas including Mt Everest.

The team is very excited to finally be in the Khumbe as the group has been pre-acclimatizing for over a month using hypoxic tent systems.

After we settled in Namche we visited the Alpine Ascents Foundation school and got to meet 70 kids who are enrolled here in Namche.  It was wonderful spending a bit of time with these kids and seeing their faces as we brought them gifts from the US.
