Everest Base Camp Private Speed Ascent treks to Phortse 

Greetings from Phortse at just over 12,500ft!

Today we trekked the 6 hour journey to Phortse. Phortse is home to the Khumbu Climbing Center (KCC). Since 2003, the KCC has trained and educated countless climbing Sherpas in technical alpine rope systems and advanced climbing techniques, with an objective to increase the safety margin of Nepali climbers and high altitude workers. Our team delivered donations to help support this incredibly valuable program.

The team is doing great and everyone is addicted to the local hot beverage of ginger lemon honey tea!
