Everest Basecamp Team Reaches Namche!

Namaste Everyone,

Yesterday we made the 3,000’ foot climb up to the ancient trading post of Namche Baazar, at 11,300’.
The team is all doing excellent enjoying the comforts of Maya Dorjee Sherpa and her family at the Hotel Namche. This is the nicest of our accommodations on the EBC trek.
Today we enjoyed an acclimation hike above Namche, with stunning views up valley to Everest and Lhotse, the 1st and 4th highest peaks in the world.
Tomorrow we will head off the main trekking route and venture up to the village of Thame at 12,400’.  Thame is the traditional home village of many of the Sherpa that have worked with us over the years.
