Introducing “Team Friends on a Summit Day”

The Jan 4th team has now chosen an elaborate name and will henceforth be known as Team Friends on a Summit Day (aka Transitional International Ascenders). However, I’ll leave you guessing as to the origins of our team name because, well, it’s just a bit complex…

We made the long hike to Plaza de Mulas today and are now installed at our main base camp on the mountain at 14,400 ft. We’ll spend several nights based at this elevation and will begin our stay with a rest day tomorrow.
