Kili Team Heads to Karanga Camp

Posted on February 5, 2025 | Cybercasts

Hello Everyone,

Yesterday we had great weather climbing up to a new high point of nearly 15,000ft on our way to Barranco camp. The team is doing really well with the altitude and staying strong and healthy. It’s a fairly busy week on Kilimanjaro but by just tweaking our schedule a tiny bit we haven’t seen any other groups on the trail while hiking to each camp thus far. Again this morning we are waiting until all of the groups go up the barranco wall before we depart. This plan has been working very well for many years now on my trips and provides a better experience while hiking.

We have a relatively short day today to Karanga camp but a really fun hike and one that is good for our acclimatization as we head higher on the mountain.

Thanks for following along, and I’ll post another message this evening after we arrive to Karanga camp at 13,300ft.

Ben
